Job Description

This position is responsible for gathering structural field data for telecommunication structures under the direction of the Compliance Manager and Director. The selected individual(s) will be required to perform inspections as a part of a two-person crew with little supervision. 

Field Duties (70- 80% of work time):

  • Capable of climbing towers, water tanks, and rooftops at heights in excess of 300 ft.

  • Conducting investigations or maintenance on existing structures depending on the particular assignment.

  • Perform inspections, tower mappings, mount mappings and post construction inspections on telecommunications towers.

  • Must have the physical ability and the willingness to scan, probe, dig and drill to obtain the foundation dimensions and steel reinforcement on towers.

  • Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.

  • Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.)

  • Devise new approaches to problems, prepare or modify drawings, monitor work compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and TEP standards.

 Office Duties (20- 30% of work time):

  • Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications applications.

  • Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.


  • Most work is performed on-site, outdoors, with exposure to the elements of nature working under normal to extreme conditions.

  • Employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch, lift weight, climb or exert a force up to 100 lbs.

  • Expected market includes The Carolinas and up the East coast, may include work further west depending upon growth plan

Job Requirements


  • 1-2 yr general construction and cell tower experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationship with peers, supervisors, other departments, and the general public

  • Ability to analyze & solve problems, read & interpret sketches & construction drawings

  • Willingness to learn & work individually as well as in a team environment

  • Ability to understand and apply budgeting principles throughout project life-cycle

  • Valid driver’s license, and clean driving record to operate a company vehicle

  • Valid certifications (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc)
